Battle Of The Deodorants

Summer is slowly approaching and let’s be honest most of us worry about stinking! While I know I should probably be more cautious about the deodorants I use since most of them contain aluminum and parabens. In the past I’ve thought about going the natural route. I’ve heard some common things to use are lemon, coconut oil, essential oils like lavender, eucalyptus and tea tree. Some other recommendations are baking soda, witch hazel, beeswax or candelilla wax. While all these options seem tempting, I just can’t imagine myself not being super paranoid about smelling like an onion. While I debate with myself about going over to the natural side I’ve rounded up the deodorants I’m currently using.
  1. Dove Dry Spray- This I my go to after my nightly shower, I normally don’t use this one when leaving the house unless I’m in a rush and I grab for a quick spray. The smell is clean and fresh but I don’t go heavy with it because it can get overpowering.
  2. Donna Karen Cashmere Mist- This is my all time favorite deodorant, it just VERY EXPENSIVE! I always pick them up during the Nordstrom’s anniversary sale. This deodorant has a feminine, soft and beautiful smell. It applies silky and I’ve never had issues with it staining my clothes.
  3. Dove Clinical Protection- I switch off between this one and the Cashmere Mist for daily use. It smells great and has long lasting power.
  4. Secret Outlast- I always carry a mini deodorant in my bag just in case I need to touch up during the day and because of a previous experience of forgetting to put deodorant on one morning. I used this one once while vacationing in Miami, it smells good and got the job done.
Are you a natural deodorant user or not?
