Green Detox Smoothie For Weight Loss

This green detox smoothie makes a great breakfast or healthy snack.
  • 2 cups baby spinach
  • 2 ribs celery, chopped
  • 1 medium green apple, chopped
  • 1 cup sliced banana
  • 1 cup milk of choice, I use almond or coconut, you can also use water
  • 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon honey

  1. Combine spinach, celery, apple, banana, milk, ginger, chia seeds and honey in blender until smooth.
  2. Serve immediately.

Awesome recipe! It's the best breakfast that I have so far. But I replaced bananas and honey with 90% chocolate and berries. Since I follow the keto diet, I'm not allowed to consume that many carbohydrates. But, honestly speaking, I tried the original recipe, and it is even tastier than my keto version. Usually, I get the recipes from the app for keto diet, but I also like to experiment. One of my favorites is black & white candies. They are made with unrefined coconut oil whipped with almonds, sweetener, vanilla, and orange peel. I tint part of the mass with cocoa powder and leave the part with vanilla.

That's an awesome recipe. I will definitely try this one out. You would also like this smoothie I found on iahas.com which is called Refreshing Ayurvedic Lassi. You can add your favorite frozen fruits. This one is made of unsweetened yogurt and is great in taste.

Prep Time: 3 Mins
Total Time: 5 Mins
Serves: 2 persons

Ingredients
2 cups of water (chilled still water), 3/4 cup plain unsweetened yogurt (preferably whole milk yogurt), 2 T Sugar or Honey (or to taste), 1/2 tsp ground cumin powder pinch each of clove powder, cinnamon powder, cardamom powder, black pepper powder, 1/2 tsp fresh, grated ginger few coriander or mint leaves

Method
1. Add all the ingredients to a blender and blend into a smooth drink.
2. Garnish with coriander or mint leaves (Optional) Add ice.

Serving suggestions
Serve immediately.
Preferably make fresh and avoid leftovers as the flavor and freshness are lost when stored.
